B.Sc. Nursing (Four Year Degree Course)
Aim
The aim of this undergraduate Nursing Programme is to :-
  1. Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives to provide promotive, preventing, curative, and rehabilitative services.
  2. Prepare nurses who can make independent decision in nursing situation, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health.
  3. Function in hospital, Community Nursing services and conduct research studies in the area of nursing practice.
  4. Prepare nurses to assume the role of a teacher, supervisor and manager in a clinical/public health setting.
OBJECTIVES
On completion of the four year B.Sc. Nursing program the graduate will be able to:-
  1. Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioural sciences, medicine including alternative system and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of life style and other factors, which affect health of individuals and groups.
  3. Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups.
  4. Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situation in order to provide quality care.
  5. Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care.
  6. Provide promotive, preventive and restorative health services in line with the national health policies and programmes.
  7. Practice within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
  8. Communicate effectively with individuals and groups, and members of the health team in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
  9. Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and group in Clinical/community health settings.
  10. Participate effectively as members of health team in health care delivery system.
  11. Demonstrate leadership and managerial skill in clinical/community health settings.
  12. Conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research finding to improve the quality of care.
  13. Demonstrate awareness, interest and contribute towards advancement of self and of the profession.
Admission Requirements:-
  1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the corresponding year of admission.
  2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of : Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 year course),
    Or
    Senior Secondary school certificate Examination (10+2), Pre- degree Examination (10+2)
    Or
    An equivalent qualification with 12years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (Physics, chemistry, biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE)
  3. Candidate shall be Medically Fit.
Entrance/Selection test
Selection of candidates should be based on the marit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority
P.B.B.Sc. Nursing
OBJECTIVES
On Completion of B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) Degree programme the graduates will be able to:
  1. Assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients/clients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities.
  2. Demonstrate competency in techniques of nursing based on concepts and principles from selected areas of nursing, physical, biological and behavioral sciences.
  3. Participate as members of health team in promotive preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of country.
  4. Demonstrate skills in communication and interpersonal relationship.
  5. Demonstrate skill in communication and interpersonal relationship.
  6. Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations.
  7. Demonstrate managerial skill in community health settings.
  8. Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.
  9. Participate in research activities and utilize research finding in improving nursing practice.
  10. Recognize the need for continued learning for their personal and professional development.
 To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:
  • Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognised by the university for this purpose. Those who have passed 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
  • Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
    - O.T. Techniques
    - Ophthalmic Nursing
    - Leprosy Nursing
    - TB Nursing - Psychiatric Nursing
    - Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing
    - Community Health Nursing
    - Cancer Nursing
    - Orthopedic Nursing 
  • Candidates shall be medically fit.
G.N.M. COURSE
OBJECTIVES
The nurse on completion of this course at this institute will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate competency in providing health care to the individual, sick and well.
  2. Function effectively with the members of health care team in the hospital and in community.
  3. Demonstrate use of ethical values in their personal and professional life.
  4. Recognize the need for updating education for the professional development .
  5. Demonstrate interest in a activities of professional organizations.
  6. Assist in research activities.
  7. Demonstrate basic skill in teaching patients and giving nursing care to them.
Eligibility Criteria (As per Indian Nursing Council)
  1. Students has to be unmarried.
  2. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 years to 35 years respectively as on 30th September.
  3. Education Qualifications:-
  • 10+2 class pass or its equivalent with 45% marks preferably with sciences subjects. (40% for SC/ST)
  • All admissions shall be made on merit
  • Applications should be sent to the Principal Kiran Memorial /Kular School of Nursing, G.T. Road Kishangarh Distt- Ludhiana (Pb). On the prescribed form enclosed with the prospectus. It must accompany the following:
  1. Bank D.D. of requisite amount along with registration fee in favor of Kular Medical Education & Research Society, Bija payable at Khanna.
  2. An attested copy of the matriculation certificate and 10+2 certificate.
  3. Character certificate from the principal of the last institute attended.
  4. Five copies of recent passport sized photographs.
  5. Medical fitness certificate got by the candidates at their own cost at Kular Hospital, Bija.
  6. Affidavit on stamped paper as per the specimens given on the back of admission form.
  7. Two self-addressed stamped envelopes of size  9*4 inches.
  8. Application should be submitted by hand at the reception counter of Kiran Memorial Kular school of Nursing, Kishangarh. Incomplete applications/those received after late date shall be rejected.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFERD BY SOCIETY (KULAR INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY):
  1. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  2. NCLEX
  3. Topup Program from International University i.e. Wairki institute of Technology,New Zealand.
4. Examination Fee:-
For final exam conducted by PNRC every year the students shall pay the required fees  along with the examination forms.
